The grassroots climate plan will contain measures to cut back on CO2e-emissions as fast and socially fair as possible. We are convinced that many intrinsic motivated groups have already been working on uncountable alternatives and ideas. In the grassroots climate plan these ideas should be collected and combined in form of precise measures.
So we ask NGOs, scientists, grassroots groups and groups of people directly affected by climate change to be part of the grassroots climate plan’s development. The working process will be participative and transparent. There will be groups of writers for each area (see below). Feedback will be sought on each of the proposed actions, from Scientists for Future scientists and groups from the Global South. A first edition will be published online so that everyone can comment on it. The comments will be discussed and worked in if need be until a comprehensive grassroots climate plan is drawn up.
The grassroots climate plan will be subdivided into the following categories:
- energy democracy
- fair dwelling and area planning
- fair mobility
- fair agriculture, alimentation sovereignty and forest use
- fair reproduction, production and consumption
- international climate justice

You want to…
The first impulses for the writing process of the grassroots climate plan were already given in September at the Write-In at the We4Future-Camp in Berlin. The writing process will mainly take place online and via telephone conferences, so that people and groups can still get involved in the writing process.
... propose groups to write with us?
Write us an Email and we’ll be very thankful for every tip.
Subscribe to our Newsletter (see below) and you will be informed when the first version of the plan is released to be commented.
In order to coordinate the cooperation of many people on the grassroots climate plan, the writing process is moderated in the individual areas. The moderation is accompanied by professional writing advice.
